Water accidents can happen in an instant. Protect your child now.

Sea Star ISR specializes in life-saving swim lessons for children aged 6 months to 6 years. Empower your child with competence, confidence, and aquatic safety skills with ISR Self-Rescue.

What is ISR?

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the global leader in survival swimming instruction, teaching life-saving self-rescue skills to children 6 months to 6 years old. With over 55 years of research and development and the industry's highest safety standards, we've delivered more than 19 million lessons, helping children build both safety skills and confidence in the water.

Our mission is clear: "Not One More Child Drowns." While we strongly advocate for pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision, we recognize that these traditional safety measures aren't enough on their own. ISR's innovative approach puts children at the center of drowning prevention. With over 450,000 graduates and hundreds of documented survival stories, we've proven that children can learn to save themselves.

Our method works because we understand that children are naturally curious and capable. Rather than rely solely on barriers, we equip them with the skills they need if they ever find themselves in water alone. We transform that natural curiosity into life-saving capability, creating confident swimmers and peace of mind for parents.

Meet Your Instructor

My ISR journey started when our oldest son completed the ISR Self-Rescue program. At just 10 months old, our son learned to roll back and float in seconds after submersion and save his own life in the water. I told everyone about ISR and how excited I was for our son to have these life-saving skills!  There was a need in my community that I was compelled to fill and become part of ISR's mission of “Not One More Child Drowns.” Drowning is the leading cause of injury death among children under age 5. I want to do everything I can to equip children with the survival skills they need should they find themselves in the water alone.

I taught for three seasons in South Florida before relocating to Fort Collins in 2022. We are thrilled to be here and expand ISR’s presence in Northern Colorado.

It only takes a second...

A moment’s inattention should not cost a child their life. Give your child the proven skills to protect themselves in and around water.

“Supervision has a problem in that every time their child doesn't drown, parents think their drowning prevention strategy is working.

Luck is not a strategy.”
